The Bronx Bombers

Let's just start by saying thank you to everybody who wished me a Happy Birthday. We had a chance to go see my favorite team the New York Yankees play the Colorado Rockies. Although my Yankees were not victorious it was great to see them play for the first time. Special thanks to Jenny for setting this whole thing up for me and making it a truly special day. I had a chance to see all my favorite Yankees, Jeter, A-Rod, Matsui, Clemens, Rivera, Mussina, Posada, Damon. The game drew quite a crowd 48,000 + to ive you a general idea, all of whom seemed to be Yankees fans. In other news the annual festival Castropalooza will be taking place this Saturday at our house. Plans are to go to Brewfest during the day, then cookout at night, then back to Brewfest Sunday.

You’re right the Yankees were good…Now they're a bunch of overpaid, underachieving bums. But hey, keep livin’ in the past, that’s all you really have at this point.

A-Rod underachieving, Jeter underacheving, Posada underacheving....those are three of the best position players in the game right now. As for being overpaid, you might have a point but the Yankees have always been overpaid....May i ask who is your favorite team? Or are you just one of those people that bashes the Yanks, if so you are excused.

Having great stats like A-Rod, Jeter, Posada and others doesn't mean they are not underachieving. In the world of professional sports the bottom line is winning. I personally don’t have a favorite team I just love good baseball and the Yankees for all their individual talent don’t provide that. A-Rod may someday be regarded as the greatest player to ever suit-up but as a leader…lets just say he wouldn’t be the team captain of a handicap Jr. High team.
