Bloc Party @ The Ogden

Got a chance to see Bloc Party this past Tuesday....nevertheless they did not dissappoint. They played a mix of old (Silent Alarm) and new (A Weekend In The City)..At one point lead singer Kele took it into the audience by making his way all the way up to the balcony singing, which by the way i almost got decapitated by the microphone cord as he made his way up. Also a new twist was one they used double drum sets for a couple songs with bassist Gordon Moakes doing the honors. The opening bands did not let me down, The Macabees sounded solid eventhough i only caught the tail end of their set. The Noisettes sound like a minor league version of The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, which is a good thing by the way. Thanks to Filter Magazine for hooking up the tickets.

Here is the setlist: (unofficial)
