The Pool Parties

For those of you that don't know The Pool Parties are a set of free concerts that take place every Summer at McCarren Pool IN Brooklyn (Williamsburg). I will be covering this Sundays show with Black Moth Super Rainbow, The Ting Tings and MGMT. Hopefully I will have a recap of all the fun on Sunday night.

"Once an actual swimming pool from 1936-1984, the currently empty McCarren Park Pool is now home to free Sunday pool parties. A variety of hot indie bands (past performers include Les Savy Fav, Of Montreal and The Walkmen, to name a few) perform on stage, as young and hip Williamsburg kids play in organized dodgeball games or go slipping down the inflatable slip-and-slide. The concrete is littered with lounging hipsters enjoying beer, burgers, hot dogs and vegan alternatives."
