The Fray are Lost!

Denver's own The Fray took to the stage of The Gothic Theater last Tuesday to a sold-out crowd. Giving us a peek at some new singles from the self titled album, The Fray took over the crowd with hits that we all have grown to appreciate. With much commercial success with songs featured in Grey's Anatomy and recently the new song from the Lost series I had a pleasure to witness a much more mature sound from the band.

This would be my third time seeing them dating back as far as them opening up for The Killers at Red Rocks a few years back. Reaching deep with his soulful demeanor Issac Slade commands the stage with his baby grand piano at his arsenal (at one point going into a cover of Beyonce's "Single ladies (Put a ring on it)". Backing him on vocals is Joe King (a sick Joe to say the least) who co-founded the band with Issac during the bands infancy. The sold out crowd sang chorus after chorus as Slade became a orchestra conductor during a few of the songs. With a stage resembling a flea market of vintage house lamps, openers Vedera from Kansas City opened up with a decent set. With a small club tour going on as we speak expect the same commercial success to follow the band as the new album drops on February 3rd.
