Live Blogging 11:11 (Day 1)

Day 1 is officially in the books, what a way to end it than no other than Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. Growing up I was always a big fan of Petty often listening along with my parents when the opportunity came about. He has become a staple in the American rock scene often selling out arenas and stadiums all over. It was a rare opportunity to catch this American icon in a beautiful setting. He opened things up with "I Wont Fall Down", hit after hit he had the crowd begging for more. With all his hits blaring off the Sandisk Main Stage everyone of the 40,000+ seem to be singing every single word including "Free Falling", "Last Dance With Mary Jane", Steve Winwood even joining for a couple songs including "Gimme Some Lovin". Tomorrow should be another scorcher with temperatures reaching into triple digits. With a slew of acts ready to take the stage day two including The Roots, The Black Crowes, The Flobots, Rodrigo and Gabriela, and Colorado's favorite son Dave Matthews and his jolly band.
