SXSW 08 Day 1

Wow what a way to kick things off. If today was any indication of how the rest of the weekend will go I am pretty psyched. Started the day off by catching the NPR showcase at The Parish, had a chance to see Yeesayer, Shout Out Louds, Jens Lekman, Bon Iver and blog darlings and weekend buzz band Vampire Weekend. After that we headed over to The Fader Fort...barely missed Saul Williams but managed to catch the Lou Reed Tribute put on by various artists. Highlight was Moby joining Lou Reed singing "Take A Walk On The Wildside"......then we waited........and waited..............and waited........finally the stage was set for N.E.R.D, Pharell and company rocked the house with old jams and a few new gems. I'm tired, my feet are sore, time for bed. Here are some pics and a couple videos I uploaded. Be sure to check out Ultra8201 and fellow Denver blogger Cause=Time for more coverage. And if you see my friends Joel's truck let us know, he seems to have lost it last night.
